  • Sport Suede upper with smooth leather lining
  • Classic Penny Loafer style with an lightweight flexible outsole
  • 5mm of plush foam padding
  • Subtle variations in color and texture are part of the natural character of our materials, making each pair unique.
  • Handmade in Spain

We recommend ordering ½ size down from your typical US shoe size.

The Marlowe offers a more structured fit than many of our other loafers. Designed to be worn with a thin sock, we'd expect it to feel comfortably snug on your first try-on. The suede will gently soften and mold to your foot with wear, creating a fit that's uniquely yours over time.

We've found the Marlowe has a closer fit across the instep. If you have a higher instep or know you prefer a more accommodating fit, we'd recommend taking a look at The James Loafer or The Studio Loafer, which might be a better match.

Our shoes are made from suede, a surprisingly durable material. Marks and scuffs to the suede can be gently removed using a suede brush and cleaning spray. Regular treatment with a protectant spray can also help prevent signs of future wear.

A classic, reimagined for the MODERN dresser

Some accessories are forever in vogue, and we count a great loafer amongst that set. When rethinking the staple, we took the elements we loved, like a luxe keeper detail and detailed stitching, and then added our own touch (including, as always, careful attention to comfort).

Overall rating: 4.6989245 / 5 from 93 reviews.

Reviews

Pricey but worth it

"Great quality and super comfortable. Strikes the perfect balance of being substantial enough to wear in colder weather without being clunky. Pairs perfectly with dress shoes pants or jeans. Leather is beautiful, not as soft as Andie loafer, but very little break in needed."

— BarbaraAnn C. (5/5)

Great look for fall

"Love the look of this loafer. Most of all I love how they feel. Immediately comfortable and can wear them without months of breaking them in. As suggested I ordered a half size down and plan to wear them without months socks."

Beautiful shoes, will wear them with everything!

"I initially purchased my typical size of US 7. 5, but they were a bit tight. I sized up to the 8 and they are perfect! Required very little break in time and they are simply gorgeous. These are my 5th pair of Margaux shoes/boots and I love them all!"

— Leslie J. (5/5)

Excellent Quality

"Absolutely love these shoes! I thought about purchasing for over a year due to the high price point, but finally splurged and I’m very glad I did. I was concerned about sizing as I’m a true 6. 5 and saw several posts saying they ran large, but for me the 6. 5 Marlowe was perfect. Within the first week, I walked over fifteen miles in these shoes without issue. Will definitely be purchasing a second pair!"

— Darby P. (5/5)

Beautiful leather & gorgeous shoe

"Like many people I have a difficult foot to fit—especially with slip-on shoes staying on. This loafer comes the closest to anything I’ve tried that could work. I was hopeful when I ordered a half-size smaller in this shoe as per the website’s recommendation but the loafer was uncomfortably short in length. I exchanged them for my regular size but with a narrow width. This was more comfortable but there is a little slippage in my heels with a slight gap at the back and on the inner edge of my foot. Lightweight socks help but in time, I would likely need heavier socks as the shoes will stretch. A lot of reviews mentioned the shoe runs narrow. I don’t have a lot foot volume, wear a medium width, and was fine with both the narrow and the medium widths—depending on the length chosen. Sadly, I don’t think this style is a good choice for me. It’s gorgeous comfortable and supportive but I still need shoes with ties or straps in their structure to get the best fit."
