The effortless personification of classic style with a modern twist

For our latest iteration on a classic ballet flat, we used a chic low heel and squared-off toe to give lift and attitude to a new everyday favorite. Much like The Demi and The Pointe, The Ada is intended to be dressed up or down. However you style it, all-day wear is recommended. With a sacchetto construction, it fits, and feels, like a luxurious leather glove.

How do I know my size?

The Ada has a sacchetto construction and is designed for a flexible, glove-like feel. The Ada runs true-to-size and features an adjustable cord for a customizable fit. If between sizes or widths, we recommend taking the smaller size.

How do I know my width?

Medium width is considered standard, so if you generally find standard widths comfortable in other shoes, we suggest taking a Medium. However, if you find that other shoes often pinch or feel too tight around the ball of your foot, the Wide is a fantastic option to try. It is made on a combination last, with the toe box being the only area that is wider. (It's also a great option to try if you have bunions.) The Narrow will be more narrow throughout the entirety of the shoes; it's a good option if you find your foot frequently slips or feels insecure in a standard width.

Additionally, the working bows can be tightened to customize the width around your foot as needed.

How does the fit compare to other styles?

The Ada has a comparable fit to The Daphne.

How do I adjust the bow?

The Ada's cord is adjustable (much like The Demi), so you can customize the fit to suit you preferences. If you notice any looseness or slipping at the heel of your shoes, tighten the cord to cinch the fit while your shoes are off the foot. You can find a video here showing you how to tighten the cord. And if you notice any tightness or digging at your heel, simply untie the cord while the shoes are off your foot, loosen the knot, and retie the bow.

How much can I expect The Ada to stretch?

As an unstructured shoe, The Ada will soften and give in width with wear. If you find that the fit changes over time, you can always use the adjustable cord to tighten or loosen the fit to your preference.

How do I care for The Ada?

Since nappa leather is porous and absorbs water easily, avoid getting them wet. Getting the shoes soaking wet can irrevocably stain the leather, but if they just get a bit wet, stuffing the toe area with clean, un-dyed paper or cloth and letting them dry naturally, without heat, can help them to recover.

Most quality shoe repair shops will offer products to polish, protect, and refresh the leather's surface. A neutral cream polish—one without color—will also help protect the surface from scuffs and scrapes and keep the leather hydrated. If something's spilled on the leather, try using a soft cloth with a small amount of cleanser or cream on it. Rub the surface in a circular motion, then allow the shoe to dry before buffing the entire thing lightly with a dry, clean cloth.
