Since nappa leather is porous and absorbs water easily, avoid getting them wet. Getting the shoes soaking wet can irrevocably stain the leather.

Most quality shoe repair shops will offer products to polish, protect, and refresh the leather's surface. A neutral cream polish—one without color—will also help protect the surface from scuffs and scrapes and keep the leather hydrated. If something's spilled on the leather, try using a soft cloth with a small amount of cleanser or cream on it. Rub the surface in a circular motion, then allow the shoe to dry before buffing the entire thing lightly with a dry, clean cloth.

Love at first try

"As soon as I slipped on these flats I knew I'd be living in these summer into fall. I ordered my regular size, no adjustments, and the shoes hug my feet as if made for them. The workmanship is impeccable, the inner sole so comfy, the styling of course sophisticated -- the shoes are lovely, sleek, artisanal. There are a bazillion woven ballet flats availble, and I've tried on several that disappointed immediately. These are my 4th pair of Margauxs. Won't be my last."

Flattering Shoe

"It took me two attempts to get the proper size but once I did I couldn’t be happier. The shoes fit like they were made for me plus they are very flattering on the foot and the V shape lengthens the leg. Customer service was very helpful and even reviewed my photos to suggest the best size. I have started asking customer service for advice on size before placing an order to limit being disappointed when the shoes arrive. Buying shoes online is difficult especially when you are waiting for the shoes to arrive prior to an event. For the price I don’t want to settle for something that kind of works with this brand. The first pair I ordered were a little big and it was tempting to just wear them but after showing a photo of the shoe on my foot to customer service they agreed that they would likely stretch too much to be comfortable in the future. They suggested going down in length and moving to a wide. The end result is the best fitting shoes I own."

"Originally purchased a 41 but exchanged for a 40. 5 and it was the right call. The exchange process was super easy. These are comfortable, well-made, and feel like they’ll last. They do stretch with wear, so I recommend going a half size down as long as your toes aren’t hitting the front. I still have a bit of room in the toe box, which is perfect. For the bunion girlies, not terrible. I went with the medium width and it works, especially as the leather softens over time. Definitely a summer staple… or honestly a SoCal everyday staple."

Narrow Foot Dream Come True

"I've had my first pair of Margaux shoes—the Paz style—for about two months, and I've been very happy with them. They are truly narrow, which is exactly why I ordered them since I have narrow feet. They were comfortable right out of the box with no break in period. I walk a lot around town, and they've remained comfortable every time I wear them. The leather is incredibly soft and molds to my feet like a glove. My only criticism is that the foot cushioning isn't particularly impressive for the price. That said, compared to most women's shoes, they're still very comfortable overall. I also think they're slightly overpriced, but for me it's difficult to find genuinely narrow flat shoes that are stylish and modern without looking bulky or orthopedic. For that reason, I think they're worth considering if you have narrow feet and have the same struggle."
