Escape to Italy by way of NYC

The Palermo marries Ciao Lucia’s ethos—the girl on the eternal vacation—with Margaux’s signature combination of comfort and style.

Named for the Sicilian capital in southern Italy, it comes in two colors of rich nappa leather: black and brown. It's an effortless shoe that blends the adventurous spirit of an Italian vacation with the contemporary attitude of downtown New York, just in time for summer.

About the COLLABORATION

“Margaux and Ciao Lucia both believe in effortless dressing and serving the modern woman. We wanted a silhouette that could be an exciting update to Margaux’s stable like our Wrap Sandal and our Flat Sandal. Our shoes are designed to be worn effortlessly, just like Ciao Lucia’s clothing, which—as someone who wears Lucy’s dresses knows—you can simply put on and go.”

ALEXA BUCKLEY ROUSSEL

About The PALERMO

“While it has a distinctly effortless feel, The Palermo Sandal has quite an intricate, labor-intensive design—the upper part of the shoe is all cut by hand from the same piece of leather. The overall effect is stunning, as the sandal’s insole is also the same color for a seamless effect. It has both edge and versatility, whether you’re walking through New York City or on a glamorous beach vacation."

SARAH PIERSON

About MARGAUX

Margaux is an authentic expression of the style and spirit of everyone who wears them.

Sarah Pierson and Alexa Buckley launched Margaux in 2015 with the mission of creating beautiful shoes that meet the demands of everyday life. As two Harvard graduates and lifelong friends, Sarah and Alexa set out to not only redefine how shoes are sized and sold, but how we think about the needs of the contemporary woman. Margaux shoes are thoughtfully designed, versatile, and comfortable—made, in other words, for a woman too busy for the shoe shuffle. Designed in New York City, and crafted in Spain, Margaux also offers inclusive sizing with its vast range (from EU 33 to 45) and option to choose from three widths (narrow, medium, or wide).

About CIAO LUCIA

For the girl on eternal vacation.

Ciao Lucia, created and designed by Lucy Akin launched in June 2017. Inspired by nostalgia for the past, Ciao Lucia pieces are highlighted by timeless and classic silhouettes. We choose fabrics that feel soft to the touch and easy to throw in a suitcase. When we design, we envision our customer at a beautiful seaside hotel, lounging by the water, taking long afternoon strolls, and having lengthy dinners with friends. We are inspired by clothes that make a person feel good in them.
