How do I know my size in The Demi Jane?

The Demi Jane is an unstructured style with an adjustable strap across the top of the foot for added security. We recommend sizing according to your usual US size, but if you are in between sizes or widths, we suggest taking the smaller size.

Due to the handwoven construction and open weave, the Woven Demi Jane has a more relaxed, looser fit than the regular Demi Jane. If you’re between sizes, we recommend that you take the smaller size in the woven version.

How do I know my width in The Demi Jane?

Medium width is considered standard, so if you generally find standard widths comfortable in other shoes, we suggest taking a Medium. However, if you find that other shoes often pinch or feel too tight around the ball of your foot, the Wide is a fantastic option to try. It is made on a combination last, with the toe box being the only area that is wider. (It's also a great option to try if you have bunions.) The Narrow will be more narrow throughout the entirety of the shoes; it's a good option if you find your foot frequently slips or feels insecure in a standard width.

How do I care for my Demi Janes?

Our nappa Demi Janes are made from a soft, Italian nappa and flexible leather soles. Nappa leather is permeable, so avoid exposure to water and rain. To maintain the sheen and finish over time, you can use a quality leather lotion.

How does the fit compare to other styles?

The Demi Jane has the same unstructured, ultra-comfortable fit and feel as our Demi. However, rather than featuring an adjustable cord, The Demi Jane has a strap across the top of the foot, which can be adjusted for the perfect fit.

How much can I expect the Demi Jane to stretch?

As an unstructured shoe, The Demi Jane will soften and give in width with wear. If you find that the fit changes over time, you can always use the strap to adjust the fit to your preference.
