To say we were delighted to sit down with editor-turned-entrepreneur Serena Hood—and take notes on everything from the mainstays in her beauty routine to the stationery she can't live without, no less—is an understatement. We've long admired her indelible sense of style, which she honed over the course of a career that spanned Vogue, Marc Jacobs, Armani, and most recently, British Vogue as Executive Fashion Director.
In 2019, she teamed up with fellow British Vogue alum Lucinda Chambers to launch Collagerie, a highly-curated shopping destination that sports one of the chicest edits on the internet. Their take on fashion is straightforward and refreshing: it's about cutting through the noise (and the endless options) to find the pieces you'll wear again and again. “The things we love don’t have to cost a lot," says Serena. "It’s about [finding] something that lasts—every time you take it out of your closet, you love it as much as when you first wore it.”
