How do I know my size in The Mary Jane?

While it might seem intuitive to size up in a pointed-toe style, The Mary Jane was designed to fit best in your true size. If you’re between sizes or prefer a roomier fit, we recommend sizing up in width before sizing up in length. Refer to the size conversions in the dropdown above, ordering based on your typical US size.

How do I know my width in The Mary Jane?

Our shoes are designed for a wider fit than many other designer shoes, particularly those made in Italy. The tapered toe of our Mary Jane doesn't pinch and is made to fit comfortably, so there's no need to size up. A hidden elastic panel under the buckle makes fit more comfortable for those with high insteps and throughout a day of wear.

How do I care for my Mary Janes?

Our suede Mary Janes are made from Italian suede, a surprisingly durable material. Marks and scuffs to the suede can be gently removed using a suede brush and cleaning spray, like those provided in our suede care kit. Regular treatment with a protectant spray can also help prevent signs of future wear. Velvet Mary Janes can be spot-cleaned, if needed.

How does the fit compare to other styles?

The Mary Jane will fit very similarly to The Pointe since they're made on the same last. It has a similar body and structure, with the main distinction being the strap across the foot for added security—and flair.

How much can I expect The Mary Jane to stretch?

The Mary Jane is a structured shoe that will soften a bit as the shoes are worn; ideally they'll feel ever-so-slightly snug when first putting them on. If they're veering into "uncomfortably tight" territory, though, then we recommend exchanging for a larger size or wider width.

When will I get my order?

Bespoke pairs ordered through the atelier are handmade to order at our factory in Spain and ship within 10-12 weeks of order–right in time for your big day. Keep in mind that you may want your shoes for your dress fittings, so please take your fitting timeline into account when placing your order.

How can I see the color and material options IRL before ordering?

We are happy to send a selection of swatches for you to choose from on request. Simply submit your swatch selections and mailing address to the Atelier team via the form below, and we'll have your swatches on their way shortly!

What is the return and exchange policy on made-to-order bridal shoes?

As Atelier pairs are handmade to-order and unique to you, they are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
