Take a Walk in Persimmon2017-07-13
With warmer weather in mind, we searched for the perfect pop for a summer on the gaux - and found it in our newest addition, The Heel in Persimmon. Already a season-less favorite from The Classic color wheel, it's a uniquely bold color that adds a touch of flare to every outfit and effortlessly transitions from both day to night, and from season to season.
We took these new kicks out for a spin across the Queensborough Bridge in up-and-coming neighborhood, Long Island City, stopping at few of our favorite haunts along the way. We test-drove the Persimmon Heel in (our favorite!) distressed denim while sipping coffee at Toby's Estate on Jackson Ave. Just a few minutes walk from there is LIC's picturesque Gantry Park, whose landmark vintage PepsiCola makes it the perfect waterfront spot for an afternoon picnic. These heels were made for walking, so we followed the wooden boardwalk along the waterfront down to the East River Ferry station to catch a boat to Manhattan, making a mental note to return to LIC to explore MoMa's PS1 outpost for a dose of inspiration - and a bit at it's retro-chic canteen, M. Wells Dinette.
